We can offer Minor Surgery appointments for dermatological problems such as removal of cysts, skin tags and lesions.
To access this service you will need to have an appointment with one of our clinicians and they will decide if they need to internally refer you to this service. We currently have a waiting list for Minor Surgery so, if referred, you will be added to this list and once an appointment becomes available, the surgery will send you a date for your procedure by letter. Your minor surgery appointment will be approximately 20 minutes and will be carried out by a GP with assistance from a nurse.
Once you have had your minor procedure, if the GP thinks it necessary, we may send off a sample of your cyst/lesion for the laboratory for further testing. You will be contacted about the results when they come back to us.
If you need any appointments for follow up care such as dressings or stitch removal, the assisting nurse will book these before you leave.
