Carers

Six million people in the UK provide unpaid, substantial regular care for relatives, friends, partners or children who are frail, disabled or chronically ill.

Help may include tasks such as washing and dressing, managing money, cooking, housework, shopping, washing and ironing clothes.

If you are an unpaid carer, support and information is available to you. All carers are entitled to an assessment of their needs or those of the person they care for, by Social Services. An assessment is intended to provide additional help and support if needed.

If you are an unpaid carer (part-time or full-time) for a relative, friend, partner or child who is frail, disabled or chronically ill, and you would like to be included on our carers register please either fill in our online Carers registration form or download and fill in this form.
