Practice

The purpose built surgery opened in December 1992 and was designed to provide comfortable and state of the art primary medical care facilities. It has a tower adorned with a brass replica of the Minster’s Quarter Jack.

The Quarter Jack was chosen because it remains a popular symbol in Wimborne Town, recognising the past as well as the present.

The original Quarter Jack, high up on one of the Minster’s towers, has kept watch over Wimborne people for centuries. In the same way the Practice, which has been established for over 70 years, is an integral part of Wimborne’s history and will continue to be a factor in the Town’s bright future.

Your Named GP

The GP’s at The Quarter Jack Surgery have for many years offered personal lists. Your named GP is sometimes referred to as your ‘registered’ or ‘usual’ GP. This GP has overall responsibility for your care.

If you do not know who your named GP is, please ask when you next contact us.
